Simple Mojito Recipe Including Rum, Mint, and Lime

Ingredients You'll Need: To make a classic mojito, gather fresh mint leaves, white rum, lime, sugar (or simple syrup), soda water, and ice cubes.

Use Fresh Mint: Pick about 8–10 fresh mint leaves. Fresh mint gives the mojito its refreshing aroma and flavor.

Cut and Squeeze Lime: Cut one fresh lime into wedges. Squeeze the juice into a glass and drop in the wedges for extra zest.

Add Sugar or Syrup: Add 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar or 1 tablespoon of simple syrup to balance the lime’s tartness.

Muddle the Ingredients: Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint, lime, and sugar together. This releases the mint oils and lime juice.

Pour in White Rum: Add 2 ounces (about 60 ml) of white rum. It blends perfectly with the citrus and mint flavors.

Stir Gently: Use a spoon or straw to stir the drink gently, blending all ingredients without crushing the mint too much.

Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime slice. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade mojito!
