How to Cook Hot Dogs and Buns Simultaneously in an Air Fryer
Preheat the Air FryerStart by preheating your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). This ensures even cooking and crispy buns.
Prepare the Hot DogsTake your hot dogs and place them in the air fryer basket. You can leave them in their casing or make small slits along the length to prevent them from bursting during cooking.
Arrange the BunsSlice your buns in half, and place them in the air fryer basket with the cut side facing up. If your air fryer is small, you may need to cook in batches or stagger the placement.
Cook the Hot DogsSet the air fryer for 5 to 6 minutes to cook the hot dogs, turning them halfway through. This ensures they are heated evenly.
Add the BunsAfter 2-3 minutes of cooking the hot dogs, add the buns on top of the hot dogs in the air fryer basket. The heat from the hot dogs will help warm the buns perfectly.
Check for CrispinessKeep an eye on the buns. If you prefer them crispy, leave them in the air fryer for an extra minute or two.
Flip the Buns (Optional)For an extra crispy texture, you can flip the buns halfway through the cooking time.
Serve ImmediatelyOnce the hot dogs are fully cooked and the buns are warm, remove everything from the air fryer.
