How to freeze strawberries

Choose Fresh Berries: Pick ripe, bright red strawberries without bruises or soft spots.

Rinse Gently: Wash them under cool running water. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fruit.

Remove the Stems: Hull the strawberries by cutting off the green leafy tops with a knife or huller.

Dry Completely: Pat the berries dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Moisture causes freezer burn.

Slice or Leave Whole: Decide if you want whole berries or sliced. Sliced ones freeze faster and are easier to use later.

Flash Freeze First: Place berries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 1–2 hours.

Transfer to Containers: Once frozen, move the berries into airtight freezer bags or containers. Remove as much air as possible.

Store Properly: Keep them in the coldest part of the freezer. Use within 6–8 months for best quality.
